Others say that the tea will become too baked this way. They prefer to make their tea, strain the leaves and then place a tea cozy on top.

Pot huggers do just that. These cozies have an elastic band on the bottom and a drawstring near the top edge, They stay on your pot and allow you to pour without having mess with a separate cozy. The drawstring top allows you to get into the top of the pot to add water and take care of the tea. They are available in two sizes. Small fits 2-4 cup, The large size will fit a 6-8 cup teapot.
